Ahead of the release of the Disney film Beauty and the Beast, the film’s star Emma Watson wished her Indian fans a happy Holi in a new video.
Holding her hands together, Emma Watson starts off with a “Namaste India” before wishing one and all a happy Holi. Then she ends it by reminding everyone to watch Beauty and the Beast in theatres.
Beauty and the Beast is the latest remake of the iconic 1991 Disney film of the same title. The story revolves around a young woman Belle (Emma Watson) who is kidnapped by the titular Beast (Dan Stevens) and is taken to a castle. Belle initially fears the Beast but soon begins to recognise the goodness in the heart of the human trapped within him.
Interestingly, the new version of Beauty and the Beast features a homosexual character, Le Fou. This is the first time a Disney film has a gay character.
