AAP received Rs 50 lakh each from 4 companies on single day

Delhi
In a new revelation, media has accessed documents which show that at least four companies had donated Rs 50 Lakh each on a single day to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Shiv Charan Goel. The party, however, did not disclose the donation details to the Election Commission about the funding. Notably, AAP is already facing a probe in disclosed funding case after the sacked Delhi Water Minister, Kapil Mishra, alleged party leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of corruption charges. Mishra, in a press conference, on Sunday, May 14, also alleged that the ruling party of Delhi is involved in taking donations from various sources. He disclosed a slew of documents showing how senior AAP leaders and Arvind Kejriwal knew about a major donation scam involving “crores of rupees”. Minutes aft...

Another setback to Arvind Kejriwal, IT dept issues notice to AAP, asks EC to cancel party’s membership

Delhi
After being embroiled in corruption-related controversies, the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) seems to have landed in further troubles as the Income Tax (IT) department on Tuesday initiated legal prosecution proceedings against the party and eventually asked the Election Commission official to cancel AAP’s membership. A media reports, the IT department officials issued a showcause notice to the party and asked “why should we not initiate proceedings against you”. “In view of the above, you are hereby required to showcause as to why prosecution proceedings under Sec 277(A) and 276(C) of Income Tax should not be initiated against you for falsification of books and a willful attempt by you to evade tax,” a copy of prosecution notice read. The statement issued by CBI later on Tuesday said the allegations need to examined before initiating the preliminary probe against Kejriwal. The agency conceded recording the complaint of Mishra against Kejriwal, Satyendra Jain and other top brass leaders of AAP. “Three complaints were made by Kapil Mishra against Arvind Kejriwal and others in Delhi government on bribery and other irregularities. ‘What goes around comes around,’ says Robert Vadra takes a jab on Arvind Kejriwal

Delhi
Long before the India Against Corruption spawned the Aam Aadmi Party, Robert Vadra, the son-in-law of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, has been a dartboard for the anti-corruption movement's chief strategist Arvind Kejriwal. The "strange obsession", as the businessman described the frequent attacks on him, continued well after Mr Kejriwal became Delhi's Chief Minister. As Mr Kejriwal battles corruption charges levelled by sacked Delhi minister Kapil Mishra, Mr Vadra weighed in. "What goes around comes around," he said in a Facebook post that noted how people who had hurled "false accusations" at him were facing a "similar plight". "That too from an insider who claims to have substantial proof," he said, reacting to Mr Mishra's allegation that he had seen the Chief Minister take 2 crore...

AAP sacked Kapil Mishra For ‘Poor Water Management’, Vows to ‘Reveal Conspiracy’

Delhi
Two days after being sacked as tourism and water minister of Delhi, Kapil Mishra hit out against Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of receiving Rs 2 crore in cash from Satyendar Jain, the health minister of Delhi. The allegation, first made in a somewhat cryptic tweet on Sunday morning. was explicitly stated by Mishra in a subsequent press conference in the capital. https://twitter.com/KapilMishraAAP/status/861088862122106880 Kejriwal on Friday removed Mishra from the cabinet, apparently because he felt that water management in the capital city was not up to the mark. The development came on a day when Mishra shot off a letter to the Anti-Corruption Bureau chief demanding to know why the role of former chief minister Sheila Dikshit and other ...
