Ministry of Agriculture gives approval for Rs 109.29 crore horticulture mission plan

The Central government has given the go-ahead for an annual action plan of Rs 109.29 crore under Haryana State Horticulture Mission for 2017-18 fiscal, including state share and spillover activities. “Besides, the Haryana government has approved Rs 6.95 crore as 15 per cent extra state share for the release of assistance to the beneficiaries of protected structures,” Principal Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Abhilaksh Likhi, said on Saturday. He added that while the Centre had released the first instalment of funds amounting to Rs 50 crore, the state finance department had released Rs 6.90 crore as extra state share. Under criticism after five agitating farmers were killed in police firing in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today announced that he will sit on an indefinite fast from tomorrow till peace is restored. “I have decided to sit on an indefinite fast from tomorrow. It will continue till the time peace is restored in MP,” Chouhan told a press conference here. His fast at Dussehra Maidan in Bhopal will begin from 11 AM tomorrow where he will be holding an open ‘durbar’ for farmers to meet him. “I request people to come up to me with their problems…We have always been open to discussion. The International Court of Justice on Tuesday stayed the hanging of retired Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav, sentenced to death by a military court in Pakistan. Apple uses a global and fairly complex supply chain. The parts for the iPhone, iPad, iPod and Mac are manufactured, mostly by third parties, across 28 countries. It has 766 suppliers, of which 346 are based in China, 126 in Japan, and 69 in the US. There is one in India -in Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu. That’s a unit of Flextronics.
